What do you believe?

Core beliefs and values are usually formed by the time you are 21 years of age, and can change over time.
What beliefs do you have today?

Beliefs about yourself….
Beliefs about the world….
Beliefs about life…
Beliefs about health…
Beliefs about money…
Beliefs about work…
Beliefs about family…
Beliefs about the ideal relationship…
Are your beliefs supporting you in where you want to go?

Here’s an example, I have worked with quite a few people who believed “there is not enough of anything in the world; not enough jobs, not enough fun, not enough money etc”.

These people were operating out of beliefs that limit their potential, which I call ‘limiting beliefs’. Without realising it they were focusing on scarcity where they believed there was not enough in the world and therefore they would have to settle for less or apply ruthless determination to get what they wanted.

Another common ‘limiting belief’ is “I will succeed at all costs”
At first this belief may seem helpful and some of you may think, “Gee, if only I had that kind of determination”, however this belief held this person back from really achieving because he would give 150% of his energy and therefore pushed himself too hard. ‘At all costs’ meant that his health was suffering. He needed to take two weeks off work every three months because of what he believed and the time off was spent sleeping, so to recuperate his energy. As you’d agree, this is no way to run a business.

Wouldn’t it be more valuable to believe, “I can have it all” [focus on abundance] or “I live with intention; I reap the rewards of my actions” or “I aim to do my best in every situation and I accept that ‘my best’ changes from one situation to the next.”
